Do this firstImmediate first aid · the first 15 minutes
Clean the wound immediately with soap and running water for at least 15 minutes. This alone removes a large share of virus before it can reach the nerves.
Put an antiseptic on the area and avoid tight bandages — cover loosely with a clean dressing so the wound can drain.
Go to a certified animal bite center immediately. Rabies is 100% fatal once clinical symptoms start, and there is no cure after onset.

05 / About us
SBI began as a single animal bite centre in Antipolo City, directly across fromAntipolo District Hospital, run by a nurse-founder who understood that rabies outcomes are decided in the first hour after a bite. Sixteen years later the network spans NCR, Rizal, Palawan, Samar, Leyte and Misamis Oriental — with a cold chain, a DOH post-exposure algorithm and a booking standard that are identical in every room.
